A bye week penalized Penn State, with the Nittany Lions dropping one spot to No. 3 in the Associated Press ranking (Miami leapfrogged the good guys), while remaining second in the Coaches Poll.
The Blue and White are joined in the rankings by fellow Big Ten teams Ohio State (Still No. 1 in both polls), Oregon (6th in AP, 5th in Coaches), Indiana (Up to 11th in AP, 12th in Coaches after demolishing Illinois). Michigan (Up to 19th in AP, 18th in Coaches), USC (Up six spots to 22nd in Coaches, 21st in AP),
and Illinois (Down 15 spots to 23rd in both polls after their blowout loss to the Hoosiers). Maryland and Nebraska both received votes in the Coaches poll, and Terrapins also received votes in the AP.
The Nittany Lions face the Ducks at 7:30 on September 27th. The game will be televised on NBC and Peacock, with College Gameday bringing pregame coverage as well.
