The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing for Week 2 against the New England Patriots, and while the offense took some deep shots against Atlanta, the media wants to discuss the target distribution between the Steelers receivers. Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers wants no part of that discussion and says it is never discussed in the locker room. That’s the correct response.
D.K. Metcalf has a bit of a temper when things don’t go well, but Rodgers is the perfect quarterback to rein it in. The offense
should be as efficient as possible, and if one receiver keeps getting open and creating mismatches, that player should be targeted. Week to week, the game has to come to them, and forcing the football to anyone isn’t a recipe for success.
