The Seattle Seahawks were the kings of the NFC West (and the NFL) in 2026. When you’re on top, you naturally have a target on your back. Arizona Cardinals star tight end Trey McBride was on the podcast Bussin’ with the Boys and had this to say…
Okay, so that was maybe the nicest way for a rival to say that he dislikes Seattle, essentially giving props to them for having a great team, that Lumen Field is a hard place to play, and that the Seahawks have handled the Cardinals recently.
Speaking to that last point, Arizona is (checks notes) 0-8 against Seattle during McBride’s time in a Cardinals uniform. He mentioned that he had a good game against the Seahawks defense, and that’s true for each of the games played at Lumen Field in 2024 and 2025 with McBride hauling in a combined 21 receptions for 260 yards and 1 TD. Interestingly enough, both of those games in Seattle were played in the month of November.
McBride will have his first crack at the 2026 Seahawks in Week 2 in Arizona. They’ll meet in November in Lumen Field for the third season in a row where the Seahawks defense will try to buck the trend of McBride putting up big numbers in the Pacific Northwest. Then again, if Seattle wins that game, who really cares?
