Meet the Mets
One day after getting shut out, the Mets could only muster one run in the finale to drop the series against the Cardinals. All their offense came off a solo home run by Juan Soto that followed Francisco Lindor getting picked off. They still had a chance to redeem themselves in both the tenth and eleventh but they could not even push the ghost runner across. The pitching remained solid but this offense has been putrid outside of Opening Day and hopefully they packed their bats for the next series in San
Francisco.
