Romano says NUFC is open to moving Gordon (Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano)
According to a report from transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, rumored Bayern Munich transfer target Anthony Gordon really could be available this summer for a good price.
The left wing has reportedly been identified as Bayern Munich’s preferred candidate per Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg:
There’s a chance Anthony Gordon would leave Newcastle this summer in case of a big offer. The Premier League side could have to sell one or two of their top players due to FFP rules and squad costs. There are
several clubs interested in Gordon, including Bayern and Premier League sides. It’s still early stages, with the first rounds of discussion taking place.
As we learned on Tuesday, Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg reported that Bayern Munich is — allegedly — willing to pay up to €70 million for Gordon, who is a left wing, but can also play right wing, striker, and as an attacking midfielder.
United, LFC eyeing Diomande and…Raum? (TEAMtalk)
Manchester United and Liverpool FC are both taking a look at RB Leipzig stars Yan Diomande and David Raum:
Liverpool and Manchester United scouts were watching RB Leipzig at the weekend, and there is nothing unusual in that, as they have been tracking wing starlet Yan Diomande very closely in recent months, but TEAMtalk can reveal another player was a big reason for their presence.
Leipzig boosted their push for a top-four finish with a 1-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach, with the ever-impressive Diomande netting his 11th goal of the season.
The highly-rated forward has been closely monitored by both Liverpool and United for months, along with a host of other top clubs. However, TEAMtalk understands that attention is no longer solely on Diomande.
Sources have confirmed that Leipzig captain David Raum has also emerged as a player of significant interest to both Premier League giants in recent months.
Another rumor linking Verbruggen to Bayern (Sports Boom’s Ekrem Konur)
Somehow, Bayern Munich has been linked to Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen a few times — and now it is happening again:
🚨🆕 #Brighton
Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen expected to leave this summer.👀 Interest → Inter leading, also Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Chelsea & PSG monitoring.
💰 Brighton → aiming for significant profit.
It seems very unlikely that Verbruggen will be the kind of goalkeeper Bayern Munich could pursue if Manuel Neuer retires. It seems as if Jonas Urbig is the successor and that the Bavarians would look for a relatively inexpensive, veteran backup.
Jacquet’s price pushed Bayern from pursuit (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
The asking price for Rennes defender Jérémy Jacquet was likely too high for Bayern Munich’s liking:
We’ve spoken a lot about Jérémy Jacquet in this column! Yes, Bayern Munich were concretely interested, as we reported, and now Max Eberl also confirmed it, saying that the Frenchman was the backup he had in mind if Dayot Upamecano had not signed a contract extension. However, in the end, he saw that the price was climbing, and there was a point when Bayern were off the table anyway, as the final deal with Liverpool reached around €63.5m [£55.2m] – and this would have been too expensive for Bayern Munich. So they wouldn’t have joined the race anyway. At the beginning, there’s no question that they were interested, but Liverpool ran the race.
Bayern keeping eye on Brobbey (The Independent’s Miguel Delaney via @iMiaSanMia)
According to one report, Bayern Munich is scoping Sunderland striker and former RB Leipzig attacker Brian Brobbey:
Bayern have been monitoring Sunderland striker Brian Brobbey (24) and retain a strong interest with a view to a potential summer move [@MiguelDelaney @Independent]
Brobbey has seven goals and one assist in 27 games across all competitions. That might not be the kind of successor Bayern Munich fans are thinking about when Kane eventually moves on.
Price tag set for Stiller (Football Insider)
If anyone is ready to submit a bid to VfB Stuttgart for Angelo Stiller, it will have to be between €57 million and €70 million to get some attention:
Angelo Stiller is only set to leave Stuttgart for between £50-60million as Liverpool keep tabs on his progress ahead of the summer window. Stiller has been a consistent starter in the middle of the park for Stuttgart and is now a regular for Germany ahead of the World Cup.
His fine form has seen Liverpool register their interest in his services, while the 25-year-old has been on Man United’s radar since last summer and is also admired by a whole host of top European clubs.
Stiller is a nice player coming off of a somewhat down campaign— or at least a slight step back from where he was at the end of last season. Right now, that figure seems too high.
