It’s week 12 of the NFL season and the New York Jets are on the road in Baltimore, Maryland to take on the Baltimore Ravens. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. EST.
The Jets opened the 2025 season with
seven straight losses before winning two of their last three games. Justin Fields was playing so poorly he got benched in the middle of the game several weeks ago. The Jets were ready to name Tyrod Taylor the starting quarterback going into the Cincinnati Bengals game four weeks ago, until fate stepped in. Taylor was sidelined with a knee injury, Fields got another start and played extremely well against the Bengals, and he regained his starting job. However, the last two weeks have been disastrous for Fields, as he threw for 170 yards combined in two games, and averaged less than five yards per attempt in each of the two games. Head coach Aaron Glenn decided once again to make a change at quarterback. Tyrod Taylor steps in against the Baltimore Ravens. It won’t be an easy assignment.
The Ravens are just 5-5 on the season, but they have won each of their last four games to get back in the hunt for the AFC North title. The Ravens defense was appalling over the first five games of the season, but they have since turned things around. The Ravens have held each of their last five opponents under 20 points. On offense Derrick Henry is dominating at running back as usual and Lamar Jackson is having another MVP worthy season. This is shaping up to be another top-notch Ravens team. If there is a silver lining to this story, it is the Ravens’ home record, where they are just 2-3 on the season. However, most of those games came in the early part of the season, when Lamar Jackson was out due to injury and the Ravens were struggling badly. Jackson has been back for the last three weeks, the Ravens are surging, and this is a game the Jets are unlikely to win. There is a good chance the Jets won’t even keep the score respectable. You never know for sure, huge upsets happen occasionally, but this game looks like a monumental challenge for the outgunned Jets.
It’s the New York Jets seeking their third victory of the 2025 season against the Baltimore Ravens today. Enjoy the game everyone.
