And we’re back.
It feels like that bye week was about three weeks long, but it’s finally time for another Husker game.
This is a big week. It’s going to be the first time since 2011 that Nebraska has had
8 wins in a season and it’s going to be awesome!
#1 EMMETT JOHNSON
This man can do it all. He can run, he make you miss, he catch, and he can move the pile. The Huskers are going to need to get the ball into EJ’s hands so that he can make things happen.
#2 TJ LATEEF
In his first start as a Husker TJ Lateef was really impressive. He led Nebraska to touchdowns on their first 4 drives of the game and ended completing about 87% of his passes for over 200 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Nebraska needs another game like this from Lateef. After completing his first full game and being successful, we are sure to see the rising confidence on the field.
After having a bye week he should have more to show us on Saturday.
#3 TURNOVERS
The Husker defense is going to need to generate some turnovers.
Penn State’s quarterback, Ethan Grunkemeyer, has had as many interceptions as touchdowns. This is something the defense needs to capitalize on.
The Blackshirts are going to be disruptive to Grunkemeyer and cause him to make mistakes and try and use his feet.
#4 RUSHING DEFENSE
We all know this has been the achilles heel of the Husker defense.
The run defense is going to need to be stout to stop Penn State’s rushing attack.
If the Husker defense can limit the long runs and the third down conversions, they’ll be good to go.
#5 ANOTHER KICK RETURN
The spark a special teams touchdown can give a team is exactly what the Huskers will need to put them over the edge.
We know that Williams and Barney are hungry to take one all the way. It’s going to happen on Saturday.
Let’s get win #8!
