Barcelona have reportedly come up with two potential alternatives to Julian Alvarez as the race for the Argentina international hots up ahead of the summer window.
Diego Simeone has claimed that Barca, PSG and Arsenal are all keen on Alvarez, with the forward being tipped to leave Atletico in the summer.
According to Cadena SER, Barcelona also have a couple of alternatives to Alvarez, with Chelsea striker Joao Pedro and Inter’s Lautaro Martinez possible options this summer.
Pedro moved to Chelsea from
Brighton this season and has enjoyed a strong campaign despite the Blues’ problems. The Brazilian has scored 19 goals in all competitions after joining for a fee of £60 million.
As for Lautaro, Barcelona have long been linked with the Argentina international who has even admitted he was “very close” to signing for the club in 2020.
Martinez was linked with Barcelona again the following year and it seems his name may be back on the agenda once more as the Catalans look for a replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
