The Tennessee Titans are on a bye this week. That means we will get a Sunday where we don’t have to pay attention to bad football. The Titans dropped to 1-8 with their 27-20 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
The New York Jets were this week, so the Titans moved up to second in the 2026 NFL Draft order according to Tankathon. The Jets still have the strength of schedule edge, so if they lose to the Cleveland Browns this week, they would move back to the number two pick.
Tankathon did a 2026 NFL mock draft, and they have the Titans taking Rueben Bain Jr., EDGE, Miami, with the second pick. That is going to be a popular pick for the Titans heading up to the draft. To say they are desperate at EDGE would be an understatement. Bain would be their top guy from day one.
There is still a long way to go until the draft, but in the mock at Tankathon, three EDGE guys went in the top 10 picks. That means the Titans could have the ability to move down in the top 10, add picks, and still get an elite player at that position. Chad Brinker and Mike Borgonzi have made no secret of their desire to acquire as many picks as possible over the next couple of years.
The best-case scenario for the Titans would be to end up with the number one overall pick and for a quarterback to emerge throughout the draft process that teams are in love with. That would allow the Titans to maximize their value in a trade.
