Florida Atlantic Owls football was a 21st century creation, just like 3D printers and the iPhone.
The program turns 25 years old this year, and to commemorate their Silver Anniversary, they unveiled new uniforms. The Owls’ Aug. 21 uniform reveal stands just nine days before their season opener, and they join several other American Conference programs in the new uniform boat including Charlotte, Temple, Tulane, and UTSA.
FAU’s new look to usher in the Zach Kittley era is a simplified design featuring
two helmets, two different jerseys, and two different pants. The only options for each component of the uniform are just blue and white. Noticeably absent is red, which is now reduced to an accent color under the look revealed Thursday.
Florida Atlantic may eventually reintroduce red helmets, red jerseys, and red pants, but those alternates are out of the loop for now — as are the black and sand-colored jerseys the Owls donned on occasion earlier in the decade. With blue and white serving as the foundation, below are the four 2025 combinations the Owls presented on Twitter.

FAU kicks off its 25th season at Maryland on Saturday, Aug. 30, likely sporting one of the new road combinations, before returning home Sept. 6 to host Florida A&M of the FCS.
