For the first time in over a month, there is no football on early this Sunday morning. The NFL gets a break from its games in Europe this week and next before resuming in week 10. But that means that today is a conventional, three timeslot Sunday, though few of the games on the afternoon schedule really jump out as exceptional matchups.
Today’s biggest game, without question, comes on Sunday Night Football, as the NFL intended. They assigned Packers-Steelers to prime time tonight even before Aaron
Rodgers signed with the Steelers — though it was all but assured when the schedule was released — and the two teams are living up to the premium billing so far this season. They lead the NFC North and AFC North divisions, respectively, and they come in with just 3 combined losses on the season so far.
Aside from that game, the biggest game on today’s schedule is probably the Cowboys visiting the Broncos. That’s a fun mascot matchup, but Denver will be riding high off a ridiculous 33-point fourth quarter in last Sunday’s comeback win over another NFC East team, the New York Giants.
Tune in for all of today’s games and discuss the early ones here, then bring it back to APC tonight for the big Packers-Steelers matchup!
