The Las Vegas Raiders are about to battle for the top of the AFC West vs. the 3-0 Kansas City Chiefs. It will be the first time the teams have met while both are undefeated since 2000.
Rob Leonard’s defense has a tough assignment: slowing down the Chiefs’ offense. With Kenneth Walker joining the offense, Kansas City has added much-needed juice to the franchise. It will be a tough task for a defense that leads the league in turnovers and pressure rate.

Leonard is familiar with the Chiefs, being the team’s defensive line coach since 2023. In his first year with the team, Leonard helped unleash a dangerous pass rush that helped the Raiders win without completing a pass for three quarters. Now it is Leonard first time facing them as the defensive play caller
“Yeah, I’m definitely excited about the opportunity. Andy Reid, he’s been doing it for a
long time, and he’s probably the best play caller in the league. So, there’ssome familiarity, forsure. Played
against Andy when I was at Miami and other places, but it’s going to be a challenge, and I’m excited about
the opportunity.”
If Leonard can keep the wave of turnovers going, he can make his mark against the Chiefs on Sunday. Hopefully it all comes together for the first-time defensive play caller.
