Two undefeated SEC teams will enter Vaught Hemingway on Saturday and only one will leave unscathed with oddsmakers favoring Ole Miss by more than a touchdown.
FanDuel Sportsbook opened odds on the Ole Miss-Arkansas game favoring the Rebels -8.5 points. Ole Miss is also favored pretty heavily in the moneyline at -320 with the Razorbacks at +260. The over/under currently sits at 62.5 which is no surprise given the points both of these teams have put up already this year.
This series is as close as it
gets the last 10 years with Ole Miss and Arkansas each claiming five victories with most being especially tight games. Last season was an outlier however with the Rebels winning 63-31 in Fayetteville. The Razorbacks will undoubtedly be looking to avenge that embarrassing loss, but it is tough to say exactly how good this team is so far.
Arkansas has blowout wins over Alabama A&M and Arkansas State thus far and have not had a true road game test yet. The Rebels meanwhile are coming off a tough fought win on the road against Kentucky and may be a little more banged up in week three.
Lane Kiffin has a 3-2 overall record against Arkansas during his tenure at Ole Miss including a 2-0 record at home. His record at the Vaught has been an overlooked superlative by the national media posting a 28-3 record since 2021 to present.
I could absolutely see Saturday’s game playing out a lot like the Kentucky game with the Rebels winning but the Hogs covering the spread. If I was to wager on this game, I’d look at the points first, because this has been more of a high scoring game the last few years. Watch the spread however as some of the wealthy Razorback alums may drop some coin on their team, and if it dips below -7, it could be a great value bet on the Rebels.
