At 6-5, the Pittsburgh Steelers will spend the remainder of 2025 fighting for their playoff lives. After beginning Sunday as the leaders of the AFC North, Pittsburgh ended the day out of the playoff picture altogether with a brutal stretch of games ahead.
The first team in this gauntlet is the Buffalo Bills, who are coming off a tough loss to the Houston Texans. Despite that, the Bills opened as 4.5-point favorites over the Steelers, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
The Bills are in a playoff fight
of their own, as they fell to the No. 7 seed after losing to Houston and following the Jacksonville Jaguars’ win over the Arizona Cardinals. All three wild card teams are 7-4, while the Texans, Steelers, and Kansas City Chiefs are 6-5 and fighting for position.
The Steelers’ last win over the Bills came in Week 1 of the 2021 season, where a Miles Killebrew blocked punt and a Ben Roethlisberger touchdown pass to Diontae Johnson powered Pittsburgh to a 23-16 win.
