The Las Vegas Raiders are hosting the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in the season finale for both teams. Kickoff is set for 1:25 p.m. PT. Here are keys to the game:
Elephant in the room:
Yes, for the second straight week, we must acknowledge that many Las Vegas Raiders fans want them to lose this game as they have a chance to get the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 draft. We get it. But this is a keys-to-victory post, so, carry on.
Stop the Raider killer:
This very well may be the final game of the the career
of Chiefs’ future Hall of Fame tight end Travis Kelce. He is expected to decide his future in the offseason. We all know Kelce has been a major Raider killer over the years. He is going to want to go out with some more memories. The Raiders can’t let that happen.
Harass the QB:
The Chiefs are down to their third quarterback, Chris Oladokun. Frankly, he is a preseason-type quarterback. He really shouldn’t do much damage. Allowing Oladokun to make plays would be inexcusable no matter if Maxx Crosby is shelved.
Play clean:
This is a bad, bad version of the Chiefs. The Raiders can easily win this game if they control their penalties and turnovers. The team that plays the cleanest game will likely win.
Have home-field pride:
The Chiefs have never lost at Allegiant Stadium. They are 6-0 there (including a Super Bowl win over San Francisco). The Raiders have had a difficult time building a home-field advantage since moving to Las Vegas in 2020. It’s time to stand up at home.
