Vinicius has been at Real Madrid his entire adult life. It is for all intents and purposes his home. While emotions and tensions constantly run high with the fans, it can easily be lost on us that the job isn’t merely a pay day for the player. It’s a significant part of his life. Vinicius has been part of some of the greatest and worst moments in Real Madrid history. His journey from a young talent to a great player is painted on the canvas of the Bernabeu. It makes sense that he would like to remain. It also makes sense that he would like to believe the club still have confidence in him going forward. It is easy to claim that players must earn the confidence everyday on the pitch while forgetting that the same trust carried was already earned.

Rodri will elbow out one of the prominent duo of Tchouameni or Valverde. The only place Mourinho will have a hard time applying pressure will be up front with Kylian the sovereign marching to his own beat. That’s one dynamic to watch closely because someone will have to fold and neither Kylian nor Mourinho have ever been known to give in.
