After word broke that Floyd Mayweather would be coming out of retirement to rematch Manny Pacquiao, Floyd sort of doused some even more cold water on the notion by insisting for the rematch to only take place as an exhibition match. Here, Fight Hub TV catches up with Pacquiao to get his take on what’s transpiring as he claims both have signed a contract for a real professional fight.
Pacquiao on Floyd wanting their fight to be an exhibition
“Is that what he’s feeling? But he signed a real fight [smirks]. Yes, the contract that we signed is a real fight.
I wouldn’t fight an exhibition. It’s a real fight. That’s the contract that he signed. He has to remember that.”
On what adjustments he plans making in the rematch
“I have improved and better strategy compared to the last one.”
On not being at his best when they first fought
“This time, no excuse.”
On Ryan Garcia’s win over Mario Barrios
“He deserve it. Barrios style is not really that hard opponent. I’m supposed [to have] won that fight.”
