Eastern Michigan linebacker Andrew Marshall has committed to transferring to Minnesota. He recorded 61 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and three quarterback hurries this season.
Marshall
has two years of eligibility remaining.
Linebackers Maverick Baranowski, Emmanuel Karmo, and Matt Kingsbury all figure to be key contributors on the Gopher defense this fall, and head coach P.J. Fleck recently praised true freshmen Ethen Stendel and Nate Cleveland. So Minnesota has an exciting core of linebackers for next season, and Marshall will help add depth and experience to the room, in addition to seeing snaps on special teams.
