The Chargers are just three days away from kicking off the 2025 regular season in Brazil against the Chiefs in what’s expected to be a new and exciting chapter added to their divisional rivalry.
Despite the recent poor record against the Chiefs over the last few years, the Bolts are always competitive in this matchup and that theme is being reflected in the betting odds to begin game week. As of Tuesday, per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Chargers are entering their season opener as three-point underdogs
against Kansas City. The over/under is set at 45.5

The Chargers have not beat the Chiefs since their first matchup early during the 2021 season which was a 30-24 victory in Arrowhead. Herbert threw four touchdowns in that game while the defense picked off Patrick Mahomes twice.
I’m not saying that’s exactly what needs to happen on Friday for the Bolts to come away with a win, but it’s not a bad place to start.
