What is the story about?
First Maxx Crosby, now Myles Garrett.
Two elite edge rushers that the Steelers were scheduled to play in the AFC North are now off Pittsburgh’s schedule, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Monday that the Cleveland Browns are finalizing a deal to send Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams.
However, Cleveland’s edge room won’t be depleted, as the Rams are reportedly sending Jared Verse, the 2024 Defensive Rookie of the Year, to the Browns as part of the deal along with a 2027 first-round pick “and other draft-pick
compensation still being negotiated to the Browns.”
Verse recorded 7.5 sacks in 2025. Garrett recorded 23 and is the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
