The TNA roster is swinging like a turnstile these days. That’s not to say good or bad. Just that movement is churning. The latest news is that two Knockouts are exiting TNA, and a former champion is coming back.
TNA released the following statement that Mara Sadé and Jody Threat are no longer with the company. That same statement closes with the tease that a former titleholder will return.

future endeavors.
In addition, TNA Wrestling confirmed a former titleholder is returning to the Knockouts Division.
Sadé was rumored to be in the midst of negotiations as her contract expired. She was competing in the Knockouts Television Championship tournament upon this news. Sadé advanced to the quarterfinals to face Heather by Elegance. That match was already taped, and it should air this week on Impact. Imagine the critics chirping if Sadé wins that one and disappears from TV after that.
As for Sadé’s future, fans speculate that one plus one equals two. Sadé is an item with TNT champion Kevin Knight, so many think she could be picked up by AEW. Perhaps a return to NXT is in the works. Sadé previously plied her craft there as Jakara Jackson. In the meantime, Sadé is cooking something with Nikkita Lyons.
Threat was also in the TV title tournament. She did her job putting over underdog Jada Stone on the way out. Threat is a two-time Knockouts tag team champion with Dani Luna, who also exited TNA earlier this year. Threat clearly had potential to move up the ladder, but she never broke through to be featured in a feud for the Knockouts Championship. PWInsider reported that Threat requested her release, and it was granted by TNA. A few days before her release, Threat voiced her desire to wrestle in Japan.
As for the former champion returning to the Knockouts division, your guess is as good as mine. Looking at the list of former Knockouts champions, there aren’t many available candidates. Could it be Hall of Famers like Mickie James or Angelina Love? Perhaps it is the return of Kelani Jordan or Arianna Grace from NXT. The wild card would be Masha Slamovich. If you want to parse TNA’s words to think they mean a Knockouts tag team champion, Kiera Hogan, KiLynn King, and Rosita (aka Zelina Vega) are options.
