Another Kentucky Basketball player has found his new home, as Jaland Lowe committed to the Georgetown Hoyas on Monday.
Lowe, who transferred in from Pittsburgh last offseason, was a Third-Team All-ACC selection with the Panthers in the 2024-25 season as a sophomore after averaging 16.8 points, 5.5 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game. The hope was he’d be even better in Lexington with a better supporting cast, but sadly, injuries prevented Lowe from ever coming close to his potential.
Last season as a junior,
Lowe averaged 8.0 points, 2.4 assists, and 2.1 rebounds per game. He appeared in just nine games (two starts) before having season-ending shoulder surgery. He also dealt with a season-long finger injury during his last season at Pitt but managed to play through it.
Because Lowe played in so few games last season, the hope is that he gets a medical redshirt and has two more seasons of eligibility.
Best of luck to Lowe as he looks to get his career back on track with the Hoyas!
