Ronny Mauricio’s hot streak keeps going, with two more homers in this one to pace the Syracuse offense as they got back to 500. On the other end of the age spectrum, 36-year-old Robert Stock continues to look really excellent as he works back from Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. He’s been good enough that he should probably get some major league time after the trade deadline. Fun story all around.

FORT MYERS 15, ST. LUCIE 14 (BOX)

St. Lucie gave up eight runs in the first but somehow made a game of it. They scored five in the bottom half and kept it close, ultimately pulling within one on Marco Vargas’ first homer of the season in the bottom of the ninth. That was as close as they’d get though. Randy Guzman homered twice in the loss.
