(PPV). The two men fought earlier this year in what proved to be one of the most exciting matches of the year, ultimately resulting in a unanimous decision win for Chris Eubank Jr. While the trash talk has a bit calmer this time around, both men are determined to once again put on a show to see who walks away with bragging rights.

Eubank Jr. defeated Benn via unanimous decision earlier this year in what was one of the best boxing fights of 2025 (see it again here). That fight was supposed to end the months of back-and-forth verbal warfare between the two men, which included getting hit with not only insults, but eggs to the face (seriously). Now, seven months removed from their first epic showdown, the two brawlers will collide once more to see who can walk away with bragging rights.
While Eubank Jr. did enough to convince the judges to give him the win, and rightfully so, Benn did have some shining moments. Eubank Jr. proved to be just a tad bit more technical and precise, so he will have the added confidence of the win in his back pocket, going in with no pressure on his shoulders. Still, he has to be careful not to overlook his foe as he will be coming in hungry for revenge. For Benn, starting off early and putting Eubank Jr. on notice will be key. If Eubank Jr. flips the script and he pops off early and often, his confidence will only grow while Benn will likely go into panic mode, which won’t be good for him. Still, we should be in for another great fight, and it hopefully it will pick off right where this legendary twelfth round ended.
Original Card vs. Actual Card:
Originally slated to face Russian contender Zaur Abdullaev, Adam Azim now faces a late-replacement Kurt Scoby, who stepped in on less than two weeks’ notice for the fight. Azim is undefeated at 13-0, winning 10 of this fights by knockout. He was last seen defeating Sergey Lipinets via ninth-round technical knockout (TKO) to win the vacant IBO Light Welterweight title. The 23-year-old from Slough, England, won 10 national titles as an amateur before turning pro in 2020. He currently holds the EBU European Super Lightweight title. As for Scoby, the 30-year-old from New York comes in with a record of 18-1 with 16 knockouts to speak of. He is looking to get himself on the map with a huge upset win here despite the odds stacked against him on short notice.
How The ‘Undercard Look:
Two Heavyweights will attempt to get their name in the championship mix with a win as Richard Riakporhe and Tommy Welch collide in a big man brawl. Riakporhe is 18-1 with 14 knockouts to his credit. “Midnight Train” used to compete at Cruiserweight before moving up, and now wants to make noise amongst the big boys in hopes of landing a future fight against the likes of Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke. For Welch, this will be his biggest test yet, as the young Brit is currently undefeated at 16-0 with nine knockouts. At 30 years of age, he hasn’t exactly faced the top competition yet, but he hopes to start with a win over Riakporhe so that people will start paying attention.
Sam Gilley and Ishmael Davis will tango in a Super Welterweight showdown. Both fighters stand 6’0″ tall and fight orthodox, but Davis holds a slight reach advantage. That said, Davis comes in at 14-3 with six knockouts, while Gilley is 18-1 with nine knockouts, so the experience is pretty much even. Davis relies on his size and style as a pressure fighter to get in to deliver his big bomb. Gilley also has a tendency to pile on the pressure, but he has a bit better movement and technique and uses his jab very well. This fight will be for Gilley’s Commonwealth Super Welterweight title and the vacant British Super Welterweight title.
Mikie Tallon won a big fight this past September during a special event full of fights during the Canelo vs. Crawford open workouts, defeating Christain Robles. Now, the Joe Gallagher-trained fighter is ready to make it 10 straight wins and is out to earn his second knockout when he takes on Fezan Shahid, the 33 year-old British brawler who is 4-2-2 in his young career but has yet to secure a knockout win. This matchup between two up-and-coming contenders will open up the action to see who can make a name for themselves.
Interest Level: 7.5/10
Jack Catterall and Ekow Essuman will co-headline the event. Catterall comes in with a record of 32-1, which includes 13 knockout victories. He is fresh off a technical decision win over Harlem Eubank, winning the IBF Inter Continental and vacant WBA International Welterweight titles. The win was marred by controversy after the fight was stopped in the seventh round when both men suffered cuts due to a clash of heads. Catterall was winning the fight on the judges scorecards up to that point, giving him the win. As for Essuman, he is coming off a big win over Josh Taylor earlier this year, winning the vacant WBO Global Welterweight titles in the process. By the way, he also holds the WBO European Welterweight title. Catterall is the favorite here but calling Essuman a gatekeeper isn’t right since he has two titles. That said, he has the chance to pull off a big upset in hopes of landing bigger fights moving forward.
This event is a good appetizer, setting up fight fans for the massive UFC 322 pay-per-view (PPV) event later TONIGHT, which features a Welterweight title fight between division king, Jack Della Maddalena, taking on former Lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev. So buckle in for what is sure-to-be a long day of hard-hitting action.
Enjoy the fights!
