The NHL has ended its “Hot for Hockey” marketing campaign less than a week after launching the series of short, romance novel-style audio stories featuring real NHL players. The league said the campaign was intended as a one-week promotion tied to the start of the season, and the seven episodes released on Spotify have since been removed, with no new installments planned. New York Islanders goaltender Semyon Varlamov made his first NHL start in nearly two years Tuesday against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. The 38-year-old returned after undergoing partial replacements on both knees and last played Nov. 29, 2024, before missing the following season. [NHL]
