The NFL trade deadline is November 10 at 3:00 p.m. CT, which is the Tuesday following the Week 9 games, and the rumors (sourced, speculation, calculated leaks, or otherwise) have been flowing. For months, the Chicago Bears have been front and center in any rumor involving the defensive line, and that will continue until the Bears pull the trigger or the deadline passes.
This morning, ESPN’s Adam Schefterran through the players to watch as the deadline looms, and he closed the segment with the Los
Angeles Chargers and their 35-year-old defensive end Khalil Mack. He said the (0-6) Chargers keep telling teams that they don’t intend to move Mack because they want to win games, but “You have to wonder if a team like the Chicago Bears, who keep calling to try to bring Khalil Mack back to Chicago.”
The Chargers are on a bye this week, and play a road game on November 1 against the (2-4) Los Angeles Rams and host the (2-4) Houston Texans on November 8.
FOX’s Jay Glazer also mentioned Mack and the Bears on their pregame show, saying the one NFL North team that will be “really aggressive” at the trade deadline is the Bears, and that he knows they have already talked with the Chargers about Mack.
