Here are the ratings from Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Sunderland on Saturday.
Starters
Senne Lammens – 7
Had one nervy moment, but didn’t look nervous himself. First clean sheet of the season for the Reds
and an assured debut for the Belgian.
Diogo Dalot – 5
Starts much higher on the left, which is good for the team shape, but didn’t offer anything once he got into the forward areas.
Lenny Yoro – 7
Wasn’t troubled much.
Matthijs De Ligt – 7
Cleaned everything up.
Luke Shaw – 7
Kept Traore quiet.
Amad Diallo – 7
Showed glimpses of what he offered last season.
Casemiro – 6
He wasn’t as careless with his passing today, but got booked for an unnecessary challenge. For now, the team’s better with him starting.
Bruno Fernandes – 6
Not as busy as usual. Had one great effort saved.
Bryan Mbeumo – 6
Picked up an assist but could’ve gotten onto the scoresheet himself.
Mason Mount- 7
Took his goal very well and brought some balance to the side.
Benjamin Sesko – 8
Lots of positives. His hold-up play was good, set his teammates up at times, and scored a goal.
Subs
Patrick Dorgu – 5
Should’ve probably taken a shot when he got the opportunity later in the game.
Matheus Cunha – 5
Had a few moments of promise, but didn’t materialize into anything truly threatening.
Kobbie Mainoo – 5
Showed one great piece of skill, but couldn’t capitalize on it.
Harry Maguire – N/A
Manuel Ugarte – N/A
Manager
Ruben Amorim – 7
Good win. Got the job done in the first half.
