Just last week, we asked who would lead the Dallas Cowboys in touchdown receptions for 2026. CeeDee Lamb took the win over George Pickens. Now we’re moving to the other side of the ball.
This week we taking guesses on who will lead the Cowboys in sacks. Ever since Micah Parsons was traded, the sack king crown is an open debate on the Dallas defense. We’re looking at five players who we think could lead the team in 2026.
Rashan Gary
He’s the veteran with experience and skins on the wall (46.5 career sacks, average
of 7.5 per year). Two times in his career he almost broke double-digit sacks with 9 in 2023 and 9.5 in 2021.
Donovan Ezeiruaku
The second-year player showed plenty of promise in 2025, but his sack total was only two. The potential is there, but the finishes need to come.
Malachi Lawrence
The rookie first-rounder will be thrown into the mix right away. The team is hoping for a lot, but he’ll need to hit the ground running to be the Cowboys sack king in 2026.
James Houston
Since Jadeveon Clowney hasn’t re-signed, Houston is the returning leader from last year with 5.5 sacks. He is a pass-rush specialist who may thrive in Christian Parker’s new 3-4 base defense.
Quinnen Williams
We’re throwing the big defensive tackle into the mix since he’s actually had the biggest season of sacks of all the roster. In 2022 Williams had 12 sacks. We had to include a player of his caliber.
So who ya got in this five-man competition? Vote in the poll then hit the comments.
