Fresh off of their first loss of the season, Georgia Tech desperately needs to win their final two games of the regular season to stay in the hunt for an ACC Championship and College Football Playoff berth.
The first match-up in that journey will be against Boston College in Chestnut Hill, a team that is winless against FBS opponents and hasn’t won a game since their season opener against Fordham.
Who: Boston College Eagles (1-9) vs #14 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (8-1)
Where: Alumni Stadium, Chestnut Hill, MA
When: Saturday November 15th, 2025
Kickoff Time: 3:30pm ET
How to Watch: This game will be broadcast live on ACC Network and streamed live here
Our staff has spent this week compiling some great content to preview this match-up. Take a look:
Boston College vs Georgia Tech: Yellow Jackets Team Preview
What to Watch For
- How badly will Haynes King demolish this secondary? After losing their first game of the season last week, the Yellow jackets are looking for a bounce-back game. King, their star quarterback who is one of the most efficient signal-callers in the nation, will be leading that charge. After their terrible display against the SMU offense last week, in which Kevin Jennings threw for over 300 yards and 3 TD passes, BC can only pray that Georgia Tech will be more merciful.
- Maybe Dylan Lonergan can make some cool plays. Despite the team’s ranking atop the ACC, Georgia Tech’s defense is rather average. They struggle to rush the passer and they are one of the worst teams in the country at generating turnovers. I am still longing for the days of when Dylan Lonergan was an efficiency machine against Michigan State, so maybe he can recapture some of that magic in this game.
- Let’s play a game of ‘Who Will Throw More Passes?’ Bill O’Brien has already announced Lonergan as this week’s starter, but who knows, maybe he’ll get pulled in the first quarter again. That would surely be great for his confidence and development. Let me know in the comments if you think BC will have yet another mid-game quarterback change this week.
Prediction: Georgia Tech 45 Boston College 24
The BC defense is hopeless against this Yellow Jacket force. Chalk this game up to a loss immediately. What I’ll be watching for is the BC offense and if this coaching staff can get any late season production out of them. I’m still clinging on to hope that the Eagles may be able to beat Syracuse next week, so this game will give us some insight into where the team is at heading into that final contest.
