San Francisco 49ers rookie linebacker Nick Martin remains in the concussion protocol. Defensive tackle Jordan Elliott won’t practice on Thursday with a knee injury, while left guard Spencer Burford (knee/ankle) will also sit out of practice.
Burford not practicing explains the pair of tryouts the Niners recently had at offensive line. If he can’t go, we’re likely looking at Connor Colby returning to the starting lineup at left guard.
Lastly, and most importantly, wide receiver Ricky Pearsall (knee/ankle)
isn’t practicing. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said of Pearsall’s chances of playing on Monday, “Yes, there is a chance. He’s doing a lot better today than he was on Monday. The extra day will help. He’s got a shot.”
The good news is that Tatum Bethune, Sam Okauyinonu, and Yetur Gross-Matos will all return to practice in a limited capacity. Renardo Green is also listed as limited on the injury report with a neck injury.
There is no injury designation for linebacker Eric Kendricks. He’s good to go. Jauan Jennings appeared to take a shot late in the game, but he has no injury designation. Shanahan said, “I know it hurt him there, because he missed a couple of plays later, but he checked out good this week, and he’s not on here.”
