Outside hitter Evan Hendrix posted a team-high 26 kills with 12 digs to earn a double-double and spark No. 11 TCU during its four-set victory against Cincinnati in Big 12 action Wednesday evening. It’s the 17th consecutive home win for the Horned Frogs (15-3, 5-1 Big 12), who moved into third place in the conference standings with the victory. Hendrix recorded a .297 hitting percentage, while outside hitter Becca Kelley added 15 kills on a .419 hitting rate for the TCU offense, which hit .320 as
a team. The Horned Frogs will continue Big 12 play against Kansas State at Schollmaier Arena on Friday before hitting the road for a conference match against Kansas.
Sarah Sylvester and Alexis Roberson turned in efficient offensive performances Wednesday evening, notching a combined 14 kills on 25 attempts (.560 percentage) from the middle position. Setters Rosemary Archer and Ella Foti united for 49 assists to pace the TCU offense against the Bearcats. Libero Alice Volpe collected 11 digs for the Horned Frogs, who donned their pink uniforms for their annual Dig Pink match. TCU took the first two sets and overcame a third-set defeat to beat the Bearcats 25-21, 25-19, 21-25, 25-22. It was an offensive battle between both teams, as Cincinnati posted a .305 hitting percentage, including a .450 hitting rate in the third set.
