Nico Paz to Como is Official Now. At one point, it seemed the announcement could drag on for a couple more weeks. However, Real Madrid possibly did Nico Paz a favour by announcing it before Argentina’s knockout run in the World Cup, so that the player could put his transfer uncertainty behind him.
All kinds of figures have been discussed in the media surrounding this deal. It is rumoured that Real Madrid have sold the Argentine youngster to Como for 60 million euros. But Madrid will have a chance
to bring him back for a figure around 80 million euros in the summer of 2027-28. While the figure has been kept a secret officially, Los Blancos have directly mentioned it in their official announcement that a return is possible in 2027-28.
One might simply this as the following – Real Madrid had a 10 million euros buy-back clause for Nico Paz this summer. It basically got raised to 20 million next summer. It is not a bad deal for either party in theory. If Real Madrid can make room for the player, and he keeps his trajectory in the same direction next season, a net transfer fee of 20 million might seem like a bargain. If Real Madrid do not intend to bring him back, do they have any control over the player’s future, even financially, beyond 2027-28? Well, we do not have an official word on it yet. But time will tell.
