Greg Rousseau has another milestone to add to his growing résumé with the Buffalo Bills. The outside linebacker recorded a sack against the Baltimore Ravens giving him 39 for his career and moving him past Darryl Talley into eighth place on the franchise’s all-time sack list.
Talley spent 12 seasons in Buffalo and was part of the Bills teams that went to four consecutive Super Bowls in the early 1990s. He finished his time with the team with 38.5 sacks in 188 regular-season games. Rousseau, meanwhile,
needed just 85 games to move past that total. Not bad for a player who is only in his sixth NFL season.
And this season, Rousseau has been making that climb a little faster. With Jim Leonhard taking over as defensive coordinator under new head coach Joe Brady, Rousseau has moved from defensive end to outside linebacker. The change has given him different opportunities to get after opposing quarterbacks, and the results have been hard to miss. Rousseau recorded two sacks in each of Buffalo’s first three games before being held without one against New England.
He entered Monday night’s game with six sacks, already within reach of the career-high eight he recorded in both 2022 and 2024. Now, with Talley behind him on the leaderboard, Rousseau has another name to chase. Mario Williams, who played four seasons in Buffalo from 2012 through 2015, sits seventh with 43 sacks.
