Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seahawks fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
It’s April, which means it’s NFL Draft time in just three weeks for the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks and the rest of the non-Super Bowl winning league. With the Seahawks not retaining Kenneth Walker in free agency, as well as Zach Charbonnet likely to miss at least some
of the regular season due to his ACL injury recovery, the running back room is going to look different for Seattle in 2026. Emanuel Wilson was the lone free agent acquisition, and he was a career backup in Green Bay.
Despite what Mike Macdonald and John Schneider may say about Seattle’s running back room in public, there may still be interest in taking a running back in the draft. They’ve brought in three backs for pre-draft visits, so I don’t think they’re totally fine with the guys they have if there’s a talented player in the draft.
With only four picks (for now) heading into April 23, will the Seahawks use one on a running back? And if so, how early? Do they dare pick their first Round 1 running back since Rashaad Penny? Do they once again go for a Day 2 option (Rounds 2-3), or will they hang out in Day 3? What if they’re actually fine with the guys they have right now and don’t use any draft capital on a running back?
That’s your lone Reacts question for the week. If you think the Seahawks will draft multiple running backs then just focus your answer on when they’ll take their first back.
