Ravens reportedly ready to outbid 49ers, others for Raiders star Maxx Crosby
“I heard pretty strongly they are offering their one (first-round pick), plus two more Day Two (rounds two and three) picks,” one general manager, who is also interested in Crosby, told La Canfora. “I don’t know exactly in which years, and they probably want them spread out, but Baltimore is being aggressive.”
49ers free-agent targets: Romeo Doubs, Jaelan Phillips and others (paywall) “Possibilities: Joey Bosa, Arnold Ebiketie,
Trey Hendrickson, Arden Key, Jaelan Philips, Okuayinonu, Beal
Makes sense: Phillips. The 49ers showed interest in Phillips before the trade deadline and were probably kicking themselves after he posted 44 quarterback pressures in nine games after being traded to Philadelphia. (Huff had 46 in 17 games.) Phillips posted a pass-rush win rate of 24.8 percent on the season. To put that in perspective, Nick Bosa’s was 26.7. If the 49ers can’t land one of the big names along the edge, Ebiketie, who played for Morris in Atlanta, is a budget option who makes sense.”
Arizona State DB describes recent meeting with 49ers as “really good”
“Rowser (6-foot-1, 195 pounds) played at Campbell, New Mexico State, and Arizona State during his four-year collegiate career. In 2025, he recorded 84 tackles, four tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery while appearing in 13 games. He also finished the season with three passes defended.
The 49ers appear to be doing their due diligence on the versatile defensive back.
“The 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs, they’ve met with my defensive coordinator at Arizona State to talk about me as well,” Rowser noted. “They have a really strong relationship. They had a good heart-to-heart about me (laughs).”
Behind the Curtain: Justin Joly, Jakobe Thomas, Kyle Louis and Sam Roush (paywall)
“Well, I tried to give you folks a proper Justin Joly evaluation. It did not go as planned.
Instead, I got Miami going scorched earth against NC State, leaving very little to parse through… EXCEPT for Jakobe Thomas, a Miami safety that has my attention. Thomas might be a little stiff, but he has a TREMENDOUS feel for the game, especially in coverage. I can’t understand how he’s a late Day 3 guy.
Joly had some useful tape against Pitt, but it was one of two games without Kyle Louis. The main upside of that Joly tape? He had a real-life Greg Jennings (IYKYK) moment, but it meant he missed the second half of the game…”
