Is Bayern eyeing Bouaddi? (Foot Mercato)
This report from Foot Mercato goes into detail on Liverpool’s pursuit of Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, who has — arguably — become the World Cup’s most sought-after player. However, ESPN says that Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich are also in the mix:
This Sunday, everyone is talking about young Ayyoub Bouaddi ‘s performance for Morocco against Brazil in the first major clash of the 2026 World Cup. The 18-year-old midfielder dominated the match, easily earning the man of the game
award . This performance has inevitably reignited the debate surrounding his future at LOSC Lille, as he is being courted by clubs including PSG.
His performance against Brazil came at a particularly opportune time, as, according to our sources, Liverpool scouts had traveled to MetLife Stadium in New York specifically to see him play. The Reds’ management were undoubtedly impressed by what they saw on Saturday night. One thing is certain: Ayyoub Bouaddi will be a key figure in LOSC’s transfer window.
ESPN’s report expanded the field of interested parties:
Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi has seen interest from Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, but Liverpool sent scouts to MetLife Stadium to watch the 18-year-old during Morocco’s draw against Brazil.
Bayern Munich could still be in the market for a central midfielder after missing out on Kennet Eichhorn, who inked a deal with Bayer Leverkusen. Could Bayern Munich flex its financial muscles against the likes of Liverpool, PSG, and Arsenal…and win?
We might find out. After all, Bayern Munich’s interest in Bouaddi dates back to December.
Roma tinkering with idea of Pulisic (ESPN)
AS Roma might like AC Milan and USMNT attacker Christian Pulisic:
Roma have asked for information on AC Milan and USMNT forward Christian Pulisic, according to Nicolo Schira. The 27-year-old, who was taken off at halftime against Paraguay in what he described as a “precaution” after taking a kick, has a contract at Milan that runs until 2027 but includes a unilateral option for another year. Pulisic has been waiting for a renewal offer for months and his agents have now spoken to Roma boss Gian Piero Gasperini, while they have also been approached by clubs from the Premier League and MLS.
The Pennsylvania boy in me would love to see Pulisic at Bayern Munich, but that ship has long since sailed.
Cabo Verge goalkeeper became a social media sensation (X – FER GOLPARA)
During Cabo Verde’s shocking 0-0 draw with Spain, goalkeeper Josimar Dias (aka Vozinha) became an instant star:
A zero-goal arc vs Spain in a World Cup was enough to go from 30 thousand followers to over 2 million on Instagram.
Vozinha, Cape Verde’s goalkeeper, was chosen as the player of the match.
Here is the follower count going sky high as it was happening:
Thus the growth of Followers on Instagram of the Cape Verde goalkeeper
The beauty of the World Cup (I also cannot wait for the Philadelphia Union to way overpay for him…I kid, I kid).
Araújo could be Bayern target for backline (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
Bayern Munich likes Benfica defender Tomás Araújo — and has for a while per Sport Bild’s Christian Falk. However, a move might not be in the cards unless Bayern Munich starts to unload some of its current players on the backline:
✅ It is TRUE: It’s no secret that Tomás Araújo has been on the list at Bayern Munich for years. Of course, he’s on the list with several other players, like Manchester City’s Joško Gvardiol. But the point is that Max Eberl has to sell players before looking to bring in a centre-back. If Saibari and Brown come on board – and I think they will work – there’s no plan for another deal. No deal, no transfer, not even a backup for Harry Kane. However, if Bayern sell one or another defender from the backline, Eberl will have money to invest in a new defender. Perhaps it will be Araújo, it could be Gvardiol, and there.
Barca still chasing Álvarez (ESPN)
FC Barcelona has not given up on Atlético Madrid striker Julián Álvarez just yet:
Barcelona are not changing their mind on signing Atletico Madrid striker Julián Álvarez, with the Argentina international still their priority despite Real Madrid seeing a €150 million offer rejected already, as reported by AS. Alvarez, 26, has already told Los Colchoneros that he wants to leave and join Barca, but Atleti remain firm in their stance of wanting him to stay and that if they were to let him leave it would be to anyone other than the Blaugrana. Arsenal also want Alvarez, while Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly dropped out of the race to sign him.
Khedira to join Real staff (Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg)
Real Madrid is reporting that Sami Khedira will join José Mourinho’s staff as an assistant coach:
Arsenal has three wingers on radar (ESPN)
Arsenal is looking for a winger and has three of them on their radar:
Arsenal have been linked to three different wingers by three different outlets, while not impacting their interest in signing Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers. Sky Sports reports that the Gunners are one of the Premier League clubs that have been tracking Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola, 23, who could be allowed to leave the club after he was disappointed that he didn’t start the Champions League final. The Athletic states that the Gunners are exploring a deal for Club Brugge’s Christos Tzolis, 24, and a deal could be possible for around €40 million. Finally, The Sun suggests that Arsenal are weighing up a move for Real Sociedad’s Ander Barrenetxea, 24, but are unwilling to meet his €70 million release clause.
