Good morning, baseball fans!
The final games of the inaugural season of the Women’s Professional Baseball League are in the books and playoffs begin later today!
The San Francisco Firebells sit atop the league as we head into the first round. They had three games last week, in which they beat the Boston Hunters twice and lost to the New York Heights.
That’s good news for this week, because the first place Firebells will play the fourth place Hunters in a best-of-three Semi-Final Series that begins this afternoon.
Game 1 will start at 4:00 p.m. PT and air on ESPN+ (or YouTube for international fans).
Game 2 will take place on Friday at 3:00 p.m. PT and also air on ESPN+.
Game 3 (if necessary) will take place on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. PT (also airing on ESPN+).
The winners of this series will go on to face the winners of the New York Heights and Los Angeles Queens series in next week’s Championship Series, which will be best-of-five.
