The New York Jets have benched quarterback Justin Fields in favor of veteran Tyrod Taylor. The Jets were reportedly ready to make this move earlier this season, but Taylor injured his knee and Fields remained as starting quarterback. Now it appears Fields’ time as the starter is done, at least for the time being. With Taylor’s extensive injury history, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Fields back before the season is over. Undrafted rookie Brady Cook could also be in the mix
for evaluation as another lost season winds down.
