Starting left guard Dylan Parham left Sunday’s loss to the Detroit Lions with a knee injury. Parham is considered week to week per Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic.
Of the four players, Parham’s status was the biggest mystery. Hall’s week to week diagnosis was known, and Mitchell and Taylor were dealing with hand injuries.
After Parham left the Week 3 loss to Detroit with an apparent knee
injury, it was easy to fear the worst.
The news isn’t all good. Parham sounds very unlikely to play in Week 4 against the Chicago Bears. That would put backup interior lineman Jordan Meredith into the starting lineup. Meredith had a tough time against Detroit after replacing Parham. But at least the worst case scenario has been avoided.
The Jets signed Parham in free agency from the Raiders during the offseason, and he has played well on the interior of the offensive line in the early stages of the season.
