Spurs could all-out in hopes of Kane return (EPL Index)
Harry Kane’s incredible 2025/26 campaign at Bayern Munich has nearly everyone amazed — including his former club, Tottenham Hotspur.
According to one report, Tottenham Hotspur is going to make every attempt
to bring back its conquering hero:
Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to launch a major effort to bring back their former captain next summer, according to TeamTalk. The 32-year-old England international, currently starring in the Bundesliga, is believed to be open to a Premier League return as he eyes Alan Shearer’s all-time scoring record of 260 goals.
Sources close to Spurs suggest the club’s ownership group, ENIC, are ready to “break the bank” to make it happen, covering the player’s substantial release clause and matching his significant wages.
Executives see this as a defining moment in Tottenham’s modern history, a statement signing that underlines the ambition of the Lewis family and the growing influence of manager Thomas Frank. One source told TeamTalk: “The feeling inside the club is that Harry’s story with Tottenham is not finished. The door has always remained slightly open.”
We could find out exactly how sentimental Kane is as soon as January, when he will — allegedly — have to make Bayern Munich aware of his intentions for next season. Tottenham will likely do everything it can to lure Kane back to the Premier League, but it will be fully up to Kane on whether or not that happens.
Juve, Milan like Kim, but could be wary of salary (Goal)
Juventus and AC Milan could be poised to make a play for Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae as early as January, but are leery of his salary:
Kim Min-jae’s time at Bayern Munich could be nearing an end after struggling to earn regular minutes under Vincent Kompany. The former Napoli defender, now behind Dayot Upamecano and Jonathan Tah in the pecking order, has emerged as a target for AC Milan and Juventus ahead of January. However, his €9 million salary could block a Serie A return despite growing frustration in Germany.
Once a key figure in Napoli’s Scudetto-winning campaign, Kim’s spell at Bayern has failed to take off as the South Korean defender, who joined for €57 million in 2023, has managed just six appearances this season, totalling 326 minutes. With Tah and Upamecano now the preferred pairing, Kim’s future in Bavaria looks increasingly uncertain. According to journalist Matteo Moretto, the centre-back could be on the move in January if his situation doesn’t improve.
Juventus and AC Milan are among the clubs monitoring “unhappy” Kim’s situation closely. The 29-year-old, nicknamed “The Monster” for his dominant physical style, is viewed as a proven Serie A performer after his stellar year at Napoli. Juve reportedly see him as a potential short-term solution amid Bremer’s ongoing knee issues, while Milan view him as ideal depth to solidify their backline. Kim had previously rejected offers from Saudi Arabia, determined to continue in top-flight European football, making Serie A an appealing destination to relaunch his career.
The major stumbling block remains Kim’s hefty salary as the defender currently earns around €9m annually at the German giants, a figure considered excessive by Italian standards, especially for a centre-back. The Bavarians, while open to a sale or loan, know few clubs outside the Premier League can match those wages. “The biggest obstacle remains his salary,” wrote La Gazzetta dello Sport, noting that any return to Serie A would likely require Kim to lower his financial demands.
One thing that could propel Kim to seek a January transfer is the upcoming World Cup. If he is not a regular for Bayern Munich, it could hinder his ability to make an impact for South Korea next summer. An obstacle to this would be Bayern Munich’s willingness to let the center-back walk away. While head coach Vincent Kompany is not necessarily a believer in rotating regularly, he does like have a deep bench. Taking Kim off the roster could be a big risk for the Bavarians.

Lewy will have English suitors, but could look at Saudis, MLS (Football Insider)
Former Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski does not seem to have a future with FC Barcelona, but likely will not have a problem finding a job given expected interest from Premier League clubs, Saudi Arabia, and MLS:
Robert Lewandowski will have a queue of teams waiting to sign him if he leaves Barcelona in the summer, sources have told Football Insider. The 37-year-old sees his contract with the Catalan giants expire at the end of the current campaign, and reportedly the club have no plans to offer him a new deal. Sources say that there will likely be a number of Premier League clubs interested in Lewandowski if he becomes a free agent.

Glasner talking new deal with Palace (ESPN)
Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner, who has been rumored to have Bayern Munich as a dream destination, could get a contract extension:
Crystal Palace have had “early conversations” with manager Oliver Glasner about extending his contract, co-owner and chairman Steve Parish has revealed.
The highly-rated Austrian led Palace to their first major trophy with FA Cup success last year and has since won the Community Shield and enjoyed a strong start to the Premier League season.
His deal expires at the end of the campaign and Parish told talkSPORT: “We’ve had some early conversations. We would love to keep Oliver, we’re building something. I think for Oliver it’s about the conditions being right.
“It’s about everything being in a way that he enjoys his work and he finds the conditions favourable to achieve.
“Oliver wants to win things. He makes no secret of that. That’s what he’s in football for.
“So if we can align those interests then hopefully we can make something happen.”
While Bayern Munich is not in need of a coach at the moment, Glasner could be a name to watch for the future.
