The New Orleans Saints have agreed to terms with first-round WR Chris Olave on a new contract extension.
Adam Schefter reports the extension is for four years and worth $132 million, including $90 million guaranteed.
The deal averages $33 million per year and makes Olave the sixth-highest-paid
wide receiver in the league, behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Ja’Marr Chase, Drake London, Justin Jefferson, and CeeDee Lamb.
This is a great deal for both sides. Olave gets the long-term contract he was looking for, and the Saints secure a vital weapon for their young, up-and-coming quarterback, Tyler Shough.
The Saints have had a pretty successful offseason, and this closes another major chapter as they enter the early stages of training camp.
