Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NCAA. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Indiana fans and fans across the country.
Indiana football is set for the most significant home game in the program’s modern history, welcoming No. 4 Ohio State on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington.
There’s a lot of local and national implications in this one. Indiana and Ohio State are the sport’s two most recent national champions, the Hoosiers bested the Buckeyes
in last season’s Big Ten Championship Game, Curt Cignetti is undefeated at home through two and a half seasons and, last but not least, Ohio State is the lone Big Ten team to hand him a loss up to this point, doing so back in 2024. Indiana’s win over Ohio State last year was the program’s first since 1988, when the Hoosiers beat the Buckeyes 41-7 at home.
Whichever team emerges will be the favorite to win the Big Ten this year, with the Hoosiers looking to go back-to-back and the Buckeyes seeking their first conference championship since 2020. Indiana enters at 6-0 while Ohio State enters at 5-1, having lost to Texas on the road to open the season.
