Arda Güler, 21, was named Real Madrid’s player of the month for September 2026. The club announced the player winning the prize on its social media. Güler has enjoyed a great start to the season, being one of Real Madrid’s most influential players. His chance creation numbers have been incredible to start the campaign.
The player is currently with the Turkish national team during this three-week-long
international break. Güler and Türkiye suffered back-to-back defeats at the hands of France, now led by former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, and Italy. They will play Belgium and Italy – both games away from home next.
At the beginning of the season, Güler’s place in the Real Madrid starting XI was under doubt. Real Madrid are heavily loaded upfront, with Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe, Yan Dioamande and Jude Bellingham behind them as a number 10. However, Arda Güler has claimed his place and gelled rather well with Jude Bellingham in the attacking midfield positions.
