According to a report from Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich had a few absences from Sunday’s session that fans might not have expected:
Joshua Kimmich (ankle problem), Nicolas Jackson (AFCON),
Alphonso Davies (ill), Michael Olise and Sacha Boey did not train with the team today.
Manuel Neuer is back in full training today and looked fully fit again. He’s expected to be available against Wolfsburg on January 11th. But it’s still undecided whether he will play the friendly against RB Salzburg on Tuesday
Kimmich still being banged up with that ankle is a a bit shocking, but was made public on Saturday and everyone knew Jackson was off playing for Senegal at AFCON. However, Olise was late to training on Saturday and Boey was sick before the break.
It is curious as to why those two players did not train with the rest of the squad on Sunday. Regardless, the goal is for them to get healthy as soon as possible, so hopefully some extra rest does them well.
