The Tennessee Titans offensive line has been playing really well, so naturally today they placed two left guards on IR. Fernando Carmona definitively won the starting spot in training camp. He had a tough game against the New York Jets in Week 1 but was much better in Week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles. He suffered an ankle injury on the first play of the game in Week 3 against the New York Giants. You knew it was bad when they announced pretty much right away that he would not be returning to the game.
Jackson Slater filled in for Carmona and did a good job. Slater was a guy that a lot of us thought would win the starting right guard job. He was a good depth piece to have behind Carmona.
It will be either Atonio Mafi or Garret Dellinger who fills in at right guard until one of these guys can return.
