Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we’re talking about… uhm… give me a second, I’ll think of something.
Truth is, folks, we’re at that point in the summer where it’s still a little too early to get football news and a little too late to get college sports news. Unless you’re deep into the baseball and softball tournaments. Which… sadly…
I suppose Mizzou is in with a good shot at blue-chip local CB Raheem Floyd, who recently had a good visit? You can read about it at On3 if you’ve got a subscription.
So, yeah. Here we are. Summer
doldrums. Anyone read any good books lately?
Yesterday at Rock M and Rock M+
[Women’s Golf] finished a program-best 12th, which topped a previous best 16th place set in 2005. Per MU Tigers, the team’s 1,175 stroke total tope the team’s previous-best by 30 strokes. The Tigers were led by freshmen Ebba Liljeberg, who finished 30th with a +2. Senior Addie Dobson, who also participated in the US Open this week, placed 46th with a +7. Fleur van Beek rounded out the top Tiger finishers in 55th place at a +9. The trio posted the best scores by a Tiger at the NCAA Finals in school history with 290, 295 and 297 over 72 holes.
My weekly plug to check this out every week as it’ll give you a ton of information you’d probably never know otherwise!
- Over at Rock M+, Matt Harris is digging into the Mizzou Hoops shooting profile, Watkins is doing portal wrap up stuff (still!), and there’s a new Dive Cuts in case you’re behind!
