If there is anyone who knows Borussia Mönchengladbach at Bayern Munich, it is Max Eberl.
Eberl, of course, has a deep history with the club and thinks that even though the team is in 18th place, Saturday’s
match will not be easy for Bayern Munich.
“Of course, I’m watching them very closely. I was there for 23 years, and both clubs [Gladbach and Bayern] are close to my heart. With Rouven Schröder and Eugen Polanski, they have good people. I hope they start getting points starting Sunday. That’s what I wish for them,” said Eberl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “I know the other side, this is always the game of the year for them. It’s pure tradition. It will be a very emotional game. We have to be fully focused, as if we were playing against the second placed team.”
Gladbach has been a bogey team for the Bavarians, but Bayern Munich seems to be in a state of full focus. It might be tough for Die Fohlen to work their usual magic against the German Rekordmeister this season.
Bayern Munich will travel to Borussia Mönchengladbach for a Bundesliga showdown between two teams rocketing in different directions.
The Bavarians are rolling and have been thoroughly dominant, while Gladbach has already sacked a coach. In addition, Gladbach is also residing in last place of the Bundesliga table, which is kind of incredible considering how average the league has been this season.
