News:
Luke Raley has been moved to the IL with his nagging elbow issue; OF Stuart Fairchild, signed as a minor-league free agent in early July, is here in his place. Read more here. Also, in case you missed it, there was also a roster
move yesterday, with J.P. Crawford headed to the IL to try to heal up his inflamed wrist; Leo Rivas is here instead. There are also some updates on the injured relievers as well as some other miscellany (apparently Brendan Donovan counts as miscellany to me); read it all in John’s injury update here.
The Twins also made their own roster moves: they’ve acquired pitcher Dean Kremer from the Orioles, who has reported to the team. Zebby Matthews was rewarded for his career night against the Mariners last night by being optioned to Triple-A to make room for him.
Today’s game information:
Game time: 1:10 PT
TV: Mariners TV with Aaron Goldsmith and Ryan Rowland-Smith, with Angie Mentink as field reporter. This game will also be televised nationally on FS1, with Connor Onion and Mark Sweeney as the announcers. This is my first time typing that particular name and I assure you, his name is in fact Connor Onion and he is real. This fact brought to you by Cibo Matto (you gotta know your chicken onion).
Radio: 710 AM Seattle Sports with Rick Rizzs and Gary Hill Jr.
