Player Ratings: Real Madrid 0 – 1 Getafe
Thibaut Courtois: 7
Only had to make two saves all game. The goal conceded wasn’t his fault.
Trent Alexander-Arnold: 4
Uncharacteristically sloppy. Gave the ball away too often and never found his usual rhythm in possession.
Antonio Rüdiger: 5
Recorded nine clearances and made important interventions, but there was chaos in his performance. Fortunate not to see red in the first half after a reckless moment.
David Alaba: 4.5 Should have closed down Martin Satriano quicker on Getafe’s goal instead of
leaving his mark to help Rüdiger. A costly hesitation.
Alvaro Carreras: 6.5
Slightly above the rest of the back line. Defended well in isolation and made several intelligent forward runs that went unrewarded by Vinícius.
Aurélien Tchouaméni: 6
Strong in the air and solid in ball recovery, but his distribution lacked sharpness. At times he looked the most likely Madrid player to score — which says everything about the state of the attack.
Thiago Pitarch: 7.5
One of Madrid’s brightest spots. Calm under pressure, energetic, and progressive. Should have had an assist after setting Vinícius through on goal.
Fede Valverde: 7
Reliable as ever. Covered ground, carried the ball through the lines, and gave everything physically.
Arda Güler: 6
Didn’t shift the needle significantly but tried to play vertically and looked smooth under pressure. Delivered good set pieces and nearly produced a goal-of-the-season contender after a roulette in the box.
Vinícius Jr: 6.5
A mixed performance. Completed seven dribbles and was heavily involved, but missed a breakaway and lost possession 25 times.
Gonzalo García: 4
Struggled to find space in Getafe’s compact defensive block and never got into the game.
Substitutes
Dean Huijsen: 4
Very poor in possession off the bench. His passing was erratic and hurt Madrid’s attempts to build momentum.
Dani Carvajal: 5.5
Produced two excellent defensive actions but should have done better with a point-blank opportunity in the second half.
Rodrygo Goes: 6.5
Worked hard in limited space. Should have had an assist after reacting sharply to a far-post header and setting up Carvajal.
Franco Mastantuono: 3.5
Had one promising cross but was largely ineffective. Sent off late for dissent, compounding a frustrating cameo.
Brahim Díaz: N/A
Too little time to warrant a rating.
