“God of War” wants to be “Blessed.”
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight madman Benoit Saint Denis delivered one of the fastest knockouts of the year, starching longtime contender and divisional
staple Beneil Dariush in just 16 seconds last weekend (Sat., Nov. 15, 2025) at UFC 322 inside Madison Square Garden in New York City (watch highlights).
Following the career-defining finish, Saint Denis wasted no time calling for a “BMF” showdown with former Featherweight king Max Holloway.
Watch it below:
The callout for a “BMF” fight was kind of expected, as he’s been gunning for the prestigious gimmick belt since Justin Gaethje held it.
Speaking with Ariel Helwani today (Mon., Nov. 17, 2025), Saint Denis doubled down on the callout and made it clear that the BMF belt and the Lightweight title are both in his crosshairs.
“As I said, I’m blessed and honored to be in this division, and any fight inside the Top 5 would be a huge fight and there are lots of names on my list,” Saint Denis said. “Anyone that they give me, I will fight them as I am a soldier. If I get an opportunity quickly and it’s a huge name, I will take it. My absolute goal is to get that ‘BMF’ and Lightweight belt — two huge titles in one division. I couldn’t be happier in my position and can’t wait to see what opportunity I will get. As always, I will come to serve.”
One issue: Holloway is already expected to face Charles Oliveira for the BMF title next year. And while Saint Denis may not yet have the star power to skip the line, his reckless, violent fighting style feels tailor-made for the belt.
After a disastrous 2024 in which he was stopped twice, Saint Denis turned his career around dramatically in 2025, going 3-0 with violent finishes of Kyle Prepolec, Mauricio Ruffy (watch highlights), and Dariush. Now, he’s positioned for a massive 2026 — and potentially the BMF fight he’s been chasing.
